Fairhurst Estates Puzzle Solved
Dave Thomas joins the Fairhust Estates’ team as Business Development Director with a brief to: expand the portfolio of its services that are used by existing clients and win new contracts. He is also tasked to grow the business development and account management team to manage the resultant increase in turnover delivered to the business.
The appointment signals further the Company’s predictions for sales. It reflects the fact that it is now ready and enabled to sustain significant growth across all its business divisions that includes: estates management, building services and block management.
Managing Director and co-Founder of Fairhurst Estates, John Thornley comments: “Dave will bring additional skills to the business to supplement our ambitious expansion plans. He is perceived to be the final piece in our jigsaw puzzle that is the building of a solid senior management team to continue our progress.”
If his face looks familiar some readers might recall an earlier appearance on BBC Televisions “Dragons Den” when he secured offers for an innovative puzzle called ‘Isis’. Dave has the pedigree and persistence to succeed in this new role. His career to date has delivered results at: Solaglas Windowcare (part of Saint Gobain), Rainbow International, Zurich Financial Services and Capita Insurance Services.
One of the ‘product areas’ that he will focus on is the popular 24/7 reactive maintenance that Fairhurst Estates offers. Originally utilised by key roadside businesses, such as National Tyre and Speedy Hire, with more cost consciousness in corporate budgeting, Fairhurst Estates has been seen to be in demand by internal property clients as alternative practices are brought in and in some cases even become an alternative sub-contracted team to manage properties and maintenance due to perceived economies of operation. This has recently been adopted by clients including Makro, Condie Investments, Pets at Home and some key public sector contracts.
